HitoMi,Happy first day of fall, today — technically beginning at 11:09 PM local time, here in Michigan– we Northern Hemispherans leave the lightest six months and enter the darkest six months. Let us hope this refers only to daylight.David
@ David :You mean you live in darkness for 6months?
HitoMi,Not quite complete darkness. The days get much shorter here at 42.502North.In June the sun rises at about 5AM and sets around 9PM.During the next few months the sun sets earlier each day. Today sunset is 7:20AM, and sets at 7:27PM. After the Autumnal Equinox yesterday the legnth of darkness exceeds the legnth of the daylight hours. In December the sun rises at 8AM and sets by 4:30PM. One goes to work or school in the dark, and comes home with the setting sun.Winters are hard on many from tropical regions.Me, I like the snow and winter sports!David
@ David :Never have the chance to touch the snow. It should be fun! I love to chill instead of getting HOT
