Petrol tips

Hmm...petrol hike really dries out our pocket -- Don't you agree??

I was checking my mail and i came across this email, which tells you how to save your petrol.

NOt those saying "don't accelerate & bla bla bla". This is something different.

Tip 1#
If you want to pump petrol, make it in early morning when the
ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground.

Rationale:
The colder the ground the more dense the fuel.
When temperature is higher, petrol will expand. Thus,if you pump in the afternoon or in the evening....your litre is not exactly a litre.

Tip 2#
DOn't pump in fast mode.
In slow mode you are pumping on low speed,it minimizes the vapours that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return, which sucks back into the underground storage. Unfair right?

Tip 3#
Do fill up when your tank is HALF
FULL. The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Therefore petrol evaporates slower.

Tip 4#
DO not fill up if there is a fuel truck pumping into the storage tanks
--most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

Hope it helps^^Thanks for the information from the one who spreads this.
